Landscape/Terraspace WiP
This is something I’m working on at the moment. It’s a long way from done but I wanted to share with you to see what kind of thoughts you have about it so far. I haven’t decided if I’m going to keep it as just a landscape image or make it into a terraspace (landscape of another world) image. This is still a low quality image, not much detail to it yet but it gives you an idea of what it might look like when it’s done. Let me know what you think so far and should it be a landscape or terraspace.

I like it alot, the angle and lighting are excellent (wish i had thought of it), i’m just not sure what i think it should be… 🙂 if i come up with any amazing ideas, i’ll let you know

Awesome as is…but I keep imagining an alien craft on the plain and something or someone looking into the sunrise/sunset. The survivor of a crash or an explorer type…. Can’t wait to see where you take it.

That’s a really good idea Daniel. I’ve actually thought about that, having the lone person standing on top of one of the peaks. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

h3y very good start,, all kinds of possible objects/characters could be there–wrecked ships, ancient astronaut kinda stuff (ala Stargate or such)etc…
btw, did u use maya or similar cg for making models in that scene so far?

Hey there Rob, good to hear from you again. It’s been awhile! So far this was made with Terragen2. I have 3ds max also but I don’t use it much because I don’t know how yet! I have a finished version posted at the top of the home page also.
